Executive Director, International Organization for Peace Building and Social Justice (PSJ), Ishaya Durkwa, has condoled with the Kamwe Youth Connect Association and the Higgi Development Association in Plateau State, North Central Nigeria, over the abduction and killing of their members.
In a statement on Thursday, Durkwa, expressed sadness over the tragic loss of Nuhu Zacharia, Kwaji Dauda, and Tizhe Kwaji.
The executive director said, the news of their abduction and subsequent death at the hands of terrorists has deeply shaken everyone in Michika and beyond.
According to him, the senseless act of violence against young, promising individuals is a stark reminder of the ongoing challenges confronting the people in their quest for peace and security.
“My heart goes out to the families and friends of the victims. May they find strength and solace during this incredibly difficult time.
“In solidarity with your grief and mourning, I commend the Kamwe Youth Connect Association’s decision to lower its logo in honor of the deceased.
“This gesture symbolizes the profound respect and remembrance we all share for the lives that were unjustly taken from us.
“Let us all come together as a community to support the affected families and remain vigilant against the threat of terrorism.
“It is in these moments of adversity that our unity and collective resolve are most crucial. We must continue to strive for peace, harmony, and the betterment of our beloved nation,” he stated.
He prayed for the souls of Nuhu Zacharia, Kwaji Dauda, and Tizhe Kwaji to rest in eternal peace.
It would be recalled that the victims were abducted on their way from Yobe to Adamawa.
