Late Mrs Benedeth Nnoyelum Nwokolo
Members of Mountain of Fire & Miracle Ministry, Sabon Gari, Kano, North West Nigeria, on Friday, organised a grand wake-keep for their member, Mrs Benedeth Nnoyelum Nwokolo who passed away on 16th May, 2024.
Our Correspondent reports that, the Wake keep was held at No. 1 Abeokuta Road in Kano metropolis.
Two of her 10 children, Boney Nwokolo (son) and Ifoma Nwokolo (daughter), during the gathering, gave testimonies about their late mother, whom they said they prefer to celebrate her death rather than mourning.
“Her kindness was boundless. Her heart was opened to the needy. She shared resources and love with children.
” She preached forgiveness with her popular slogan “gbaghalu nwoke, gbaghalu nwanyi” meaning forgive all.
“No one is perfect and our mother was no exception, but we are grateful to have such a mother.
“We bid you farewell. We are grateful for the lessons you taught us,” they said emotionally.
Pastor Emmanuel Agbesi
Resident Pastor of the Church, Pastor Emmanuel Agbesi, reminded the audience about the importance of preparation for the hear after.
Reading from 1st Thessalonian Chapter 4, Agbesi said, beleivers will rise again, pointing out that death has been defeated.
“We should not be ignorant about the word of God. Mama will rise again. A believer will not die. It’s only unrighteous life that brings death.
“Be steadfast, let nothing move you as a beleiver. What ever we do we should remember that eternity is coming. Let not your heart be troubled.
“Just prepare and surrender your self before the time,” he admonished.
The Late Mrs Benedeth Nnoyelum Nwokolo will be buried on the 16th August, 2024 in her husband compound at Uru Umudim in Nnewi, Anambra state, South East Nigeria.
