Akwa Ibom, State Police Command, National Police Day
Akwa Ibom State Police Command has commenced activities marking the National Police Day Celebration with a security round table conference with stakeholders in Uyo the state capital.
A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Timfon John, says the event is in line with the Presidential directive to the Nigeria Police Force.
It is to honour the sacrifices, dedication and professionalism of Police Officers across the country.
The Commissioner of Police, Baba Mohammed Azare, appreciated residents, community leaders, stakeholders and the general public who made out time to join in the stakeholders parley.
Some of the activities lined up for the the celebration, which will last four days, include environmental sanitation exercise, free medical outreach and school outreach campaign against cultism and social vices as well as Police community fitness walk.
CP Azare reaffirmed the Command’s dedication to uphold the rule of law and protect citizens’ rights and urged the public to actively participate in the events.
He also gave an assurance that the Command will remain committed to its mandate of maintaining law and order while fostering trust and cooperation with the good people of Akwa Ibom State.
