From Kano State, North West Nigeria comes a report that a special rain-seeking prayer was held on Saturday at the Umar Bin Khattab Mosque in Kano metropolis.
The prayer reportedly drew several residents seeking spiritual intervention amid prolonged inadequate rainfall in the state.
The special prayer organized by the council of Ulama and led by Sheikh Ibrahim Khalil, drew a crowd.
Speaking shortly after the prayer, Sheikh Khalil urged residents to redouble acts of worship to attract Allah’s mercy and ensure prosperity.
Kano has been experiencing sporadic rainfall despite the rainy season progressing significantly, causing concern amongst farmers on potential effects to 2025 harvest.
