Following the Santii Annual Yam Festival organized by the Mumuye community in Pantisawa, the headquarters of Yorro Local Government Area, Taraba State, North East Nigeria, on Saturday, a football match was held as part of the ceremony.
Our Correspondent reports that the match, played between Kwanti-Sanya FC and Dila FC, ended in an intense display of skill and determination.
The game concluded 2-2 at full time, before penalty shootouts separated the sides in favor of Kwanti-Sanya FC, who won 5-4.
The Cup
The Chief of Mumuye, Alhaji Ado Adamu Mazang II, commended the players for their stellar performance.
The match was sponsored by Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Malle, Federal Commissioner National Assembly Commission, former member representing Jalingo, Yorro, Zing Federal Constituency, and coordinated by Abdulmanir Bashir Bakari.
Personalities who witnessed the match included Abdulmalik Suleiman, Idris Abdulrahman (SA Media), Rilwanu Aliyu Dasso, and Umar Misa.
