Anthony Joshua Knocks Out Jake Paul In Sixth Round

A British Professional Boxer, Anthony Oluwafemi Olaseni Joshua, has knocked out an American Boxer, Jake Paul, in their heavyweight bout in Miami, US, on Saturday morning.

The eight three-minute rounds, making it shorter than a typical heavyweight bout, ended when Joshua knocked down the American for the fourth time after a right hand earned his 26th career knockout (KO).

Paul, the US’s social media boxing disruptor, 28 with seven KOs, did better than many expected, surviving into the second half of the contest.

But Joshua twice knocked him down in a wild fifth round before finishing him off with a series of heavy shots in the sixth.

After the match, Joshua said, “It wasn’t the best performance.”

It took a bit longer than expected, but the right hand finally found its destination.

“Now, Jake Paul has done well tonight, I want to give him his props. He got up time and time again. It was difficult in there for him, but he kept on trying to find a way.”

“It takes a man to do that. Anyone who laces up the gloves, we have to give them respect and we have to give Jake respect for trying -0, but he came up against a real fighter tonight who’s had a 15-month layoff, we shook off the cobwebs, and I can’t wait to roll into 2026,” he added.

He calls on Tyson Fury to step into the ring with him next “if you’re a real bad boy”.

Paul, who said he suffered a broken jaw during the fight, declined to name his next opponent and instead said he would take some time away from the sport after suffering his second professional defeat.
