Kaduna State Government has completed the 35-kilometre asphalt road linking Gadar Gayan (Igabi LGA), via a spur at Gwaraji (Kajuru LGA), to Maraban Kujama (Chikun LGA).
In a statement, obtained by Nigerian Kicker, the Managing Director, Kaduna State Roads Agency (KADRA), Dr. Abdullahi Baba Ahmad says, the project includes a 130-metre bridge across the River Kaduna and traverses through 76 farming communities, connecting three local government areas.

According to him, “Groundbreaking for the road was performed by His Excellency, the Governor of Kaduna State, in January of last year. The work was carried out by Messrs MotherCat Nigeria Limited, a reputable road construction firm under the supervision of the managing Director to ensure due process and quality work delivery.
“This landmark project is the longest asphalt road constructed in Kaduna State in the last two decades, significantly improving connectivity, facilitating the movement of people and goods, and stimulating economic activity across the benefitting communities.
“The project is part of the rural transformation initiative of the Governor Uba Sani administration to enhance the economy and livelihood of the communities giving them a feel of government presence.”
