Federal Government has appointted Engr. Saidu Njidda as Chairman of Equipment Leasing Registration Authority.
Our Correspondent reports that Njidda’s Induction Ceremony, as the new Chairman Equipment Leasing Registration Authority, took place on May 19, 2023, at the Office of the Minister of Finance, Mrs. Zainab Shamsuna Ahmad, in Abuja.
The Minister of Finance, urged the newly inaugurated Chairman of Equipment Leasing Registration Authority, Saidu Njidda, to be diligent, dedicated and honest while discharging his duties so as to optimize the level of the sector’s contributions to the Nigeria’s economy.
Ahmad experessed the Federal Government’s best wishes to Engr. Saidu Njidda’s new position adding that the Government anticipates remarkable achievements that lie ahead under his able leadership
In his remarks, the newly inducted Chairman of the Equipment Leasing Registration Authority, Engr. Saidu Njidda said “Equipment leasing, as an alternative and significant source of finance loans, is immensely contributing to the capital formation in the global economy that generated an estimated amount of 1.5 billion dollars globally, accounting for 20% of total investment improvement and contributing about 1.5% GDP”.
Njidda added that Nigeria is one of the top three players in Africa and among the top 50 countries in the world.
He thanked the Minister of Finance and assured Nigerians of his unalloyed commitment to increase the level of benefit driven from equipment leasing sector.
Njidda also expressed his happiness and gratitude for the warm congratulations received and reiterated his commitment to excel in “this new role”.
He said he looks forward to making significant strides in advancing the equipment leasing industry and solicited assistance and support during “this exciting phase of my professional journey.”
The event was graced by numerous well-wishers who came from far and near to celebrate the momentous occasion.
Among them was Muhammad Sani Abdullah of Governance Department of Progressive Governors Forum.
Engr. Saidu Njidda, is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE) and a member of the National Institute (mni).
