Sokoto State Government says, it will operate an open door policy in meeting the yearnings and aspirations of the people of the state.
The State Governor, Dr. Ahmed Aliyu, announced this in a statement to mark Nigeria’s Democracy Day.
The statement, accessed by Nigerian Kicker, was issued in Sokoto by the Press Secretary, Government House, Abubakar Bawa.
It said, the new Administration in the State will uphold democratic values and the rule of law towards the development of the people and the state.
Governor Aliyu, hinted that the nine-point Agenda, which is designed to transform the State through people oriented projects and policies, will be pursued with vigour.
He, therefore, solicited the support and cooperation of all towards raising the living conditions of the people, especially at the grassroots.
He observed with satisfaction that his Administration has, within few days of assumption of power, restored water supply in Sokoto metropolis after months of scarcity.
