Reports from Ile Ife, Osun State say four inmates have lost their lives in an attempted jailbreak at Kosere Correctional Centre.
Some of the inmates reportedly planned to escape during the morning sanitation and in their attempt to flee the centre forcefully, they injured a warder while four were shot.
The Police Public Relations Officer of Osun State Police Command, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident saying more details later.
