Deputy chief Imam of Zaid Bin Sabit Mosque, Nasiriyya Quarters, Maikalwa Zaria Road, Kano, North-West Nigeria, Sheikh Bashir Bala Usman, has admonished Nigerians to take the current hardship in the country as a test from Allah.
Bashir gave the admonition on Friday in his sermon before leading congregation prayers.
He decried the high cost of living in the country adding that only Allah can rescue the people from it.
“Life has become so difficult, whether you have a source of income or not.
” Your income is decreasing and cost of living is rising with no hope for the majority.
“The problem that N5000 could solve in the past is now 30 to 40 thousand Naira, ” he said.
Bashir called on the worshipers to remember that Allah has promised to test all believers with good or bad pointing out that the economic hardship being experienced by the people is a test from the Almighty Allah, who alone, has the solution.
“Allah has enjoined the people to be compassionate in their daily affairs.
“Be kind to the less privileged and show them compassion.
“A society that is compassionate is free from calamity,” he said.
Bashir, urged the people to serve Allah by obeying His word in their sojourn in life, pointing out that those who embrace Allah and obey His command are winners while those who go against Allah and His word are the losers.
The Islamic Scholar, therefore, advised the people to pray to Allah for forgiveness.
