A Kano based Islamic scholar and Chief Imam of Zaid Bin Sabit Jumaat Mosque, Maikalwa, Zaria Road, Kano, Sheikh Bello Bala Usman, on Friday broke into tears while delivering sermon before leading congregation prayers.
Our correspondent reports that Usman struggled to hold back his tears when he was recounting the exemplary character of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and his wife Khadija.
The Chief Imam recalled how the trustworthiness of the Prophet attracted Khadija, who was then a top business woman in the community.
He said, after their marriage, Khadija shower on the Prophet exemplary behavior, which he said, is lacking in most married women of today.
“Khadija asked Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) to take over her business estate and administer it as deemed fit.
“They lived in peace and helped each other,” he said.

Sheikh Usman observed that today most women in marriage are doing opposite of what Khadija did which should have been a shining example for them.
“Look at today, even if the woman is rich they don’t care to use their wealth help their husband. Even to help take care of their offsprings. It is sad.
“There’s nothing in this world. What ever you are looking for is in hereafter.
” Let us follow the Prophet by reading the Quran and working with the word in our daily activities,” he admonished the worshippers.
Sheikh Usman prayed Allah to intervene in the current hard economic situation affecting the people in the country.
