Professor Hajara Umar Sanda

Hajara Umar Sanda is now the first female Professor in the BUK Department of Mass Communication.
She is also reportedly the first female to achieve that feat in Mass Communication in Northern Nigeria.
A statement issued by the Editor-in-Chief of Nigerian Kicker online, Alhaji Abdulkadir Mohammed, described Professor Hajara Umar Sanda as a scholar with unbeatable humility and consciousness of ensuring the success of her students.
“It’s heart warming hearing the announcement of your elevation to Professorial seat.
“As the one who supervised my M.Sc. Degree Dissertation in Mass Communication in the Department, I knew that your scholarship will take you up beyond expectation.
“We celebrate you and wish you more grace of Allah,” the statement said.
The statement also expressed the hope that Professor Hajara Umar Sanda will continue to use her scholarship attract students to the Department.
