Second Deputy Chief Imam of Fiber Jumaat Mosque, Jos, Plateau state, North Central Nigeria, Sheikh Omar Farouk, has admonished believers to do away with relying on Godfather for their existence.
Farouk, who gave the advice while delivering sermon on Friday in Jos, said it’s an exercise in futility for anyone to depend on man for their existence and advised the worshippers to embrace Allah and put their trust in Him.
The Cleric lamented that people have deviated from putting their trust in Allah who is all sufficient.
Farouk, however, told the congregation that trusting in Allah is not just sitting down and asking Him to send you money without going out to seek for the money through legitimate means.
“Allah will only bless the work of your hands.
“There are lots of benefits in putting your trust in Allah.
“Allah says, if you have trust in Him, there will be enough for you,” he said.
Sheikh Farouk emphasized that, if you love Allah, you are one of the people that have trust in Him adding that if you trust in Allah, He will protect you from your enemies.
“The Prophet (pbuh) says, whoever trust in Allah and he is not into superstition, bad and deceitful acts, Allah will put him among those in Paradise.
“If you trust in Allah, He will give you wealth and will protect you and your family including your children and most importantly, Allah will protect you from the devil,” he said.
Farouk also reminded the congregation that trusting in Allah will give you satisfaction and raise your status in the society.
“Today, we don’t have trust in Allah, we depend on people, who themselves ironically depend on Allah.
“We should, therefore, stop having a third party between us and Allah,” he admonished.
