As part of efforts to address the biting unemployment, Today Local Government Council in Kano state, North West Nigeria, has recruited I 5 staff into the Council.
Our correspondent reports that the new employees have been distributed into nine Departments in the Council including, Agriculture, Health, Social and Community, Planning, Research and Statistics, Water Hygiene and Sanitation as well as Treasury.
While distributing the letters of offer to the employees, Chairman of the Council, Alhaju Nafi’u Haruna Garba Yarimawa, advised the newly recruited staff to abide by the rules and regulations of the service.
Yarimawa appreciated the efforts of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for his cooperation and commitment towards the recruitment of the staff.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mallam Aminu Garba (Atom) expressed gratitude over the Government’s gesture and promised to do their best towards the upliftment of the Local Government.
