Akwa Ibom State Police Command, has in the past one week, arrested about twenty five suspects for alleged criminal offences in the State.
This was announced by the State Commissioner of Police, Baba Mohammed Azare, while briefing the Press on the achievements recorded by the Command in the last one week.
“The Command remains resolute in it’s fight against crime and criminality, ensuring that offenders are brought to justice while upholding law and order across the state”, CP Azare explained.
Nigerian Kicker observed that those arrested were in connection with unlawful possession of firearms, armed robbery, cultism, attempted murder, unlawful possession of hard drugs, child trafficking and rape.
Some of the items recovered from them include live cartridges, fabricated locally made pistols, machetes, wraps of weed suspected to be Indian hemp, two 25-litres gallon containing ethanol and a military camouflage uniform among others.
Other victims arrested are a woman trafficker, a woman responsible for a human factory producing babies and a rapist.

The Commissioner of Police said investigations are still on going and at the end of which the suspects will be taken to Court.
CP Azare gave an assurance that the Command will not relent in its effort to rid Akwa Ibom State of crimes and criminality.
