Another Building Collapses In Lagos Killing Three Persons, Injuring Others

Report from Lagos State, South West Nigeria says, another building has collapsed.

According to Daily Post, no fewer than three persons have been confirmed dead following the collapsed building located at number 13 Wilson Mba Street, Arowojobe Estate Maryland area of the State.

The report says, the incident occurred at the whee hours of Thursday.

According to Vanguard, officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority, LASEMA, are currently on rescue operation at the scene of the incident.

The LASEMA Permanent Secretary, Femi Oke-Osanyitolu, who confirmed the incident said, two persons were rescued alive from the rubble.

“Three adult males were recovered dead, two male adults were rescued alive, and one adult male trapped under the rubble was rescued alive by the LASEMA and the Lagos State Fire service.

“All the six men were site workers. They are receiving pre-hospital care on location while SEHMU has been contacted for the remains of the 3 fatalities,” Oke-Osanyitolu confirmed.

Recall that, there has been series of reports of building collapse in Lagos State and other parts of the country.
