Authorities of the Bayero University, Kano say, it neither announced nor fixed any date for the University’s resumption.
A statement issued by the Institution’s Deputy Resgistrar, Public Affairs, Lamara Garba, has debunked the alleged resumption date circulating the social media saying it is fake and unfounded.
“The attention of the Management of Bayero University, Kano, has been drawn to a fake and unfounded information circulating the social media, announcing the resumption date of the institution.
“Members of the public, particularly students and parents are, therefore, urged to disregard and ignore such information, as it is fake and malicious,” the statement said.
Social media have been inundated in recent times by fake reports announcing resumption date of some universities.
About two weeks ago such fake reports went viral on social media to the effect that the ABU, Zaria was scheduled to open on 10th October, 2022.
