From Jos, the Plateau State capital comes a report that a book, “The Twelfth Despatch,” Co-authored by 42 emerging writers has been launched on Sunday in Jos.
Our Correspondent reports that the co-authors, first of its kind, are Nigerian citizens from 8 states of plateau, Bauchi, Kaduna, Nassarawa, Benue, Rivers, Anambra, Lagos and Abuja including one member from neighbouring country of the Republic of Benin.

Speaking on behalf of the Authors, Publication Director of the group, Wungakha Nungbulla Tongjal and Editor of the book, Sarah Ayuba Tawus, explained that most of them got connected through Facebook which culminated into establishing a Fellowship group that has grown into 71 members out of which 42 authored the book under review.
“Our fellowship began in 2023 and here we are today 19th May, 2024 launching a book. It’s amazing how building relationship with networking can uplift people.

” We only network and never had a residence where we met and sat down to write like writers do. We are scattered across the country yet, we put the materials of this book together.
“More amazing and in fact unbelievable is the fact that some of us, as Co-authors, are seeing one another physically, for the first time, today that the book is being launched,” they said.
They further told the audience that some of the co-authors are students and advised aspiring writers never to entertain fear of failure in carrying out their vision.

The duo, therefore, advised the people that the book, “The Twelfth Despatch”, is a tonic of good-will for anyone who decides to write because, according to them, “it tells you of the joy and pains of a writer.”
