Reports from Oyo State say a former governor of the state, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala is dead.
Alao-Akalo who reportedly died in the early hours of Wednesday was a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, APC, and was a former governor of Oyo State between 2007 and 2011.
He was also a deputy governor under former governor Rashid Ladoja between 2003 and 2006.
He died at the age of 71.
