Convoy of former President Goodluck Jonathan, on Wednesday, involved in a ghastly accident.
Reports say the vehicles in his covey had a bash which led to involvement of seven cars and two died in the process while two police officers were seriously injured.
According to the report, one of the vehicles allegedly over sped and rammed into another.
The accident reportedly occurred around Bill Clinton Drive area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, around 4.30 pm while the former President Jonathan was coming from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport to his residence in Abuja.
Public Education Officer of the Federal Road Safety commission, Bisi Kazeem, confirmed the incident, adding that those rushed to the hospital are responding to treatment.
“Nothing happened to the former President and his car is not involved in the accident. The vehicles in his convoy had a bash and two died, two are at the National Hospital and are recuperating. Seven cars were, however, involved in the accident,” he said.
