Report from Cutie, Jigawa State, North West Nigeria says, the State Commissioner for Commerce, Aminu Kanta, has been suspended from office.
The suspension followed an alleged misappropriation of fund allocated for Ramadan feeding programme.
Kanta was suspended by Jigawa governor, Umar Namadi on Friday.

A statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Bala Ibrahim, in Dutse says, Kanta was suspended by Governor Umar Namadi on Friday.
“The action is part of the government’s commitment to ensure financial accountability and prudent management of public fund.
“The governor directed for the suspension in a letter, conveyed by the Secretary to the Jigawa State Government.
“The Commissioner was suspended for alleged involvement in mismanagement of iftar feeding programme fund in Babura Local Government Area.
“The suspension begins with immediate effect pending investigation,” it said. (NAN)
