DD Hub Launches Creative Media TVET Training Programme For 100 Youths In Kano

By Muhammad Sani Abdullahi

Upon completion, Graduates are expected to leave the programme with verifiable NSQ competencies, professional creative portfolios, and practical work experience.

Digital Development Hub, (DD Hub), has officially launched a Creative Media Production Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Programme under the National Skills Qualification (NSQ) Levels 1–3, targeting 100 young people with practical, industry-relevant skills for employment, entrepreneurship, and participation in the global digital economy.

IMG 20260113 WA0002Our Correspondent reports that the programme “is designed to address the growing demand for market-ready digital and creative skills, particularly in Northern Nigeria, where many young people face limited access to formal employment opportunities.”

By combining three months of intensive, competency-based training with an additional three months of structured transition into internships, outsourcing projects, or creative business incubation, the initiative offers a clear pathway from training to income generation.

Fully aligned with the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) and National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) guidelines, the programme supports Nigeria’s national push to strengthen job-oriented TVET, expand digital skills, and improve youth employability.

Participants will receive hands-on training in photography, videography, sound production, digital content creation, and creative entrepreneurship, with strong emphasis on real-world projects, teamwork, and industry exposure.

Speaking on the launch, DD Hub’s CEO, Mr Abdulganiyu Rufai Yakub noted that the programme is intentionally designed to go beyond classroom instruction.

“This initiative is about moving young people from training to productivity,” the Hub stated.

“Our focus is on building practical competencies that translate directly into jobs, freelancing opportunities, and sustainable creative businesses.”

The Creative Media TVET Programme also aligns with the development priorities of key international partners, including the World Bank, European Union, and United Nations Agencies, particularly in the areas of youth employment, digital transformation, entrepreneurship, and inclusive economic growth.

Upon completion, Graduates are expected to leave the programme with verifiable NSQ competencies, professional creative portfolios, and practical work experience, positioning them for careers in the creative industry or for launching their own enterprises.

The initiative further reinforces DD Hub’s growing role as a leading skills development and innovation hub in Northern Nigeria, committed to unlocking youth potential and driving inclusive development through TVET and digital innovation.
