In a move to help strengthen democracy by empowering more citizens and creating awareness to participate actively in the electoral process, Benue State based organization, Dooshai Youth Foundation, has expressed willingness to partner with Independent National Electoral Commission towards achieving the goal in Benue state.
To this end, members of the organization, led by its Executive Director, Dooshai Gundu, on Tuesday October 14th, 2025, paid a courtesy visit on the State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Benue State, Prof Samuel Egwu in his office.
A statement issued by the leader, Dooshai Gudu says, the team presented a proposal on voter education and sensitization sessions across selected local government areas of the state.
“We at “Dooshai Youth Foundation” are excited about this proposal.
“Together, we aim to strengthen democracy by empowering more citizens to participate actively in the electoral process,” Gudu assured the REC.
Responding, the REC, Prof Samuel Egwu, expressed willingness to partner with the foundation on joint outreach programs, public awareness campaigns, and voter education workshops.
Egwu commended the initiative, emphasizing the importance of voter enlightenment in promoting credible elections and civic participation.
