Dr Umar Shehu Minjibir Bags Merit Award

Chairman, Kano State Civil Service Commission, Dr. Umar Shehu Minjibir, has been honoured with a merit award.

In a statement accessed by Nigerian Kicker, the Director Public Enlightenment,
Kano State Civil Service Commission, Musa Garba, said the Merit Award was given by the National Association for Peace and Conflict Resolution.

Presenting the award to Dr. Umar Shehu, the chairman of the Association, Auwalu Adamu Unguwar Gini said the award was in recognition of the Commission chairman’s numerous achievements and contributions to youth development in the state.

“You were also instrumental to the mentoring of many middle level officers when you were Head of Civil Service which a good number officers are now Directors in the Service,” Unguwar Gini said.

While expressing appreciation on behalf of members of his family, associates and the staff of the Commission, Garkuwan Minjibir pledged to continue to identify with the Association.

He also asserted that the award would serve as a morale booster towards doing what is right at all times which is part of the cardinal principles of Kwankwasiyya administration in the state under His Excellency Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf .
