Report from Jos, Plateau State, North Central Nigeria says, the 2023 Eid-el-fitr was celebrated peacefully.
Our Correspondent, Luka Retle Kumbet, who covered the prayers said, thousands of Worshipers were at Dadin Kowa Eid Prayer ground in Jos South Local Government Area to offer their prayers.
Chief Imam, Malam Ahmed Uthman Muhammad, who led the congregation prayers anchored his sermon on the importance of Zakatil Fitr.
He said it was important for Muslims faithful to give out Zakatul Fitr noting that it plays an important role in the worship of the believers.
He also encouraged believers to take with utmost seriousness the six(6) days fasting that follows Ramandan adding that it gives a believer the reward of fasting throughout the year.
Our Correspondent also reports that there was peace in Jos city at time of filling this report.
