From Ogun State, South West Nigeria, comes a report that an Elephant has killed A Farmer.
The report says, it was an encounter with a stray Elephant believed to have wandered out of a government forest reserve in the Imobi area of Ijebu East Local Government Area of Ogun State.
According to the report, the unfortunate incident, which occurred on Tuesday, has left residents of the rural community in shock and fear over the presence of wild animals close to their homes.
Confirming the incident, the Ogun State Commissioner for Forestry, Taiwo Oludotun, said: “Yes, we are aware and we are already on our way to the community.” – V
