A University don, Professor Armstrong Matin Adejo, has observed that the magnitude of disrespect on campuses is a major fundamental factor that has been working against achieving a credible operational mentality of the youths.
Professor Adejo stated this while delivering a convocation lecture at the Federal University, Wukari, Taraba State.
The scholar felt sad that the youths have, “suddenly grown so large that they brush their elders aside on walkways without a hoot.”
He noticed that the languages the youths employ are so bastardised and cheap that nothing constructive could be made out of them.
“Old age no longer attracts respect, the consequences are that a majority hardly find mentors known in any credible system that recommends role models,” he lamented.
Besides this, Professor Adejo pointed out the, “despicable manner in which students wear their clothes which suggests that evil days are really here.”
“The ladies come out in most bizarre attires as they refuse to understand what is permitted in the bedrooms from what is acceptable on the street,” he said.
