Farmers/Herders Conflicts: Stakeholders Meet In Jos To Profer Solution

Report from Jos, Plateau State, North Central Nigeria says, 3 Division of the Nigerian Army and Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) has held stakeholders engagement with the Butura Community and Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) towards addressing ongoing farmers/herders conflicts.

A statement by the Acting Deputy Director,  Public Relations, 3 Division Nigerian Army, Major Aliyu Danja said, the stakeholders discussed ways and strategies to end the conflicts.

According to the statement, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, spoke on ways of promoting Peaceful Resolutions and called for continued collaboration with the security agencies.

On his part, Dr. John Gabriel Makwal, proposed a military-civil relations committee to enhance security measures in the community, while the Chairman, MACBAN, Alhaji Ibrahim Yusuf reaffirmed his commitment to collaborating with the Nigerian Army towards finding a lasting solution to challenge.
