National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, says the Federal Government is actively addressing the recent security breach in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State, North Central Nigeria.
Our Correspondent reports that the NSA stated this when he visited the Headquarters of Operation SAFE HAVEN, where he received briefings from Major General Folusho Oyinlola, General Officer Commanding 3 Division Nigerian Army.
According to him, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has “directed the NSA to restore normalcy to affected communities following militia attacks on some communities in the region.”
The NSA praised security agencies for their “timely response to the attacks, which has helped to curtail the situation.”
Ribadu, however, called on Plateau residents to live together harmoniously and prioritize peace in the face of adversity.
The NSA emphasized the need for “due diligence and transparency” on the part of the media in reporting security incidents to prevent misinformation and panic among the populace.
“The Federal Government will ensure that those arrested in connection with the attacks are brought to justice,” he added.
