The Federal University, Dutsin-ma (FUDMA), Katsina State, has established a Tracking System in the institution to check performance of the Lecturers.
Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Armaya’u Hamisu Bichi, who disclosed this during an interactive session with students of the University, said several other measures were being put in place to ensure the well-being of the students.
The measures include, security matters, academic performance as well as motivation to them to achieve their potentials.
“There is a plan to build a befitting students’ centre with support from the Minister of Niger Delta, Senator Godswill Akpabio. The centre will be named after the former President of the students Union Government, Aliyu Sale-Damaga who died recently,” he said.
The VC assured the students that the “University Management will look into all the questions raised by them with a view to making FUDMA a better institution for teaching , learning and research.”
He therefore warned that it is prohibited for security personnel to beat any student within and without the University premises.
