Following Footsteps Of Prophet Muhammad Averts Tribulations – Imam Onireke

Chief Imam of Nasfat Mosque, Sabon Gari, Kano, Imam Ishaq Zubairu Onireke, has admonished Muslim faithful to follow the footsteps of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) to free themselves from troubles.

He gave the advice while delivering sermon on Friday at the Mosque located at Abeokuta Road, Sabon Gari area of Kano metropolis.

Imam Onireke, who is also the Zonal Missioner, Nasfat (NWZ 1), observed that most people are no longer have the fear of Allah at heart adding that the crave for materials have taken over their heart, their sense of worship and love of the Prophet, the Hadith and Allah.

“If you follow the footsteps of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), you are rightly guided.

“The Prophet never stole, he was not a liar, he was generous, kind and full of compassion as well as sensitive to the plight of his followers,” he said.

The Imam, whose sermon centered on “Love of the Prophet Muhammad,” told the worshipers that the love of Allah and the Prophet should supersede their love for anything else adding that whatever they do without Allah will amount to exercise in futility.

“Run away from engaging in competitive life style and avoid the cravings for materialism.

“All the wealth of this world is vanity upon vanity,” he warned.

The Cleric advised believers (Mumin) to read the history of the Holy Prophet Muhammad and be reminded about his glorious life which they should follow to enable them build a prosperous society.
