Nigerian former Inspector-General of Police, Tafa Balogun has died.
Reports say the former IGP died at a hospital in Lagos on Thursday evening after a brief illness at the age of 74.
He was appointed the 21st Nigerian Inspector-General of Police IGP in March 2002.
Balogun worked in various Police Commands across the Federation including becoming Deputy Commissioner of Police in Edo State, and pioneer Commissioner of Police in Delta State.
The late Tafa Balogun was also appointed Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone One, Kano State.
