Deputy Chief Imam of Fibre Jumaat Mosque, Jos, Plateau State, North Central Nigeria, Sheikh Auwal Danladi, has admonished Muslim Faithful to free their minds from death by obedience to the command of God.
Our Correspondent reports that the Imam, gave the admonition, on Friday, in a sermon he delivered shortly before leading congratulation prayers.
According to Danladi, a lot of people “are ungrateful to God” inspite of the favour He showers on mankind adding that it is “this ungratefulnes that make many people disobey God.”
He said, what kills the mind of people include greed, hatred, selfishness, and confiscating what does not belong to them.
The Imam reminded them that when the mind goes rotten the entire body collapses.
“Look at the sun shinning for mankind with no one paying God a dime.
” Look at the rain God gives to mankind.
“Look at the air people breathe for survival. Yet many people are not happy. On daily basis they engage in acts that contradict the command of God,” he said.
The Imam, who observed that many people are going astray as a result of worldly things, asked the congregation to reflect on the end of every evil doer of the past.
“How did they end, good or bad?” He asked.
He warned the people to desist from rebellion against the word of God before it is too late.
