Secretary-General, Jamaatul Nasirul Islam, Dr. Khalid Aliyu Abubakar, has called on Nigerians to go out and vote massively for the candidates of their choice in 2023 General Elections beginning next week.
This message was part of his sermon on Friday at Fibre Jumaat Mosque in Jos, Plateau State, North-Central Nigeria.
He particularly advised Muslim umah in the country to ensure that they are not left behind in the election process.
“There’s need for Muslim Umah to redouble their efforts in going out to cast their votes.
“It’s a key role of citizenship. Vote those you know will do justice.
“Don’t be lackadaisical in carrying out this duty,” he further advised.
He urged the congregation to think and rethink correctly before casting their votes.
Dr. Abubakar reminded them that their votes were not only their rights but their strength.
“Bad leaders are elected by nice people who refused to go out and vote,” he noted.
He advised Nigerians to be optimistic and not pessimistic about the elections adding that Allah gives leadership to who He will.
The Secretary-General prayed Allah to protect citizens as they go out for civic responsibility in choosing their leaders.
