Governor of Plateau state, North Central Nigeria, Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang says, good governance is one of the pillars of Plateau State.
Mutfwang, stated this in a message to the 21st All Nigeria Editors conference held in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
Speaking to Nigerian Kicker on the message, the Plateau State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Hon. Joyce Lohya Ramnap, who represented the Governor at the conference, highlighted the activities of Governor Mutfwang’s administration in the state.

Ramnap said, Governor Mutfwang has been very deliberate on efforts put forward towards giving good governance and security to the people of Plateau state.
According to her, the effort is also aimed at building infrastructural development in the state.
She disclosed that the Government has adopted Agriculture as key driver towards achieving the economic development that is required.
“This is why we have invested heavily on the Agriculture sector. So far 128,000 farmers have been supported with fertilizers and we also brought in an improved seedlings to our farmers of over 80,000 for the purpose of improvement.
“This message is aimed at using the Guild of Editors’ forum to ship in the narrative around the issues surrounding the people of Plateau state.
“It’s also to enlighten the people of the state policing as a tool to be able to solve the security challenges that we have been experiencing on the Plateau.
“If we are able to re-shape this narrative, we should be able to have a good direction towards achieving co-existence among our people.
“It is a continuous message of peace building and this is why we have also invested in inter-religious Committee that will advise government on the position to take,” she said.
Ramnap, explained that the Government has also looked into the report by General Roger about people displaced by incessant attacks on the Plateau so as to be able to resettle the people once and for all and possibly not to have re-occurence of the security challenges being experienced in the state.
On Tourism sector, the Information Commissioner allayed the people’s fear of visiting the state saying that currently, visitors come to Plateau on daily basis as “our Hotels are fully on patronage,” which attests to the effort of the Governor in Profering solution to the security challenges in the state.
