Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, North Central Nigeria, on Friday, called for peace, unity and religious tolerance.
He made the call while commissioning the Dari Central Mosque in Kokona, built by a Christian.
The mosque was funded by State Education Commissioner Dr John Mamman, who said he undertook the project “to sustain the unity and tolerance our people are known for.”

Sule, who led the first Juma’at prayer in the mosque, urged citizens to respect one another’s beliefs.
“We must show patience and value every individual’s point of view regardless of status or religion,” he said.
Former APC national chairman Abdullahi Adamu and the Emir of Lafia, Sidi Bage Mohammed, praised the gesture as a symbol of harmony.
Local leaders described the project as a milestone for peace and development in the community. – NNE
