Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has announced the appointment of an additional 168 political aides to help in his administration.
In a statement issued by his Media Adviser, Mukhtar Gidado, Governor Mohammed unveiled 168 new appointments including Principal Special Assistants, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, and Personal Assistants.
The appointees also include five Principal Special Assistants on Political and Community Relations, one on Pension Matters, 60 Special Assistants, and 63 Personal Assistants.

Gidado emphasized that the selections prioritized “merit, proven experience, and leadership capabilities,” with many appointees being former political office holders.
He described the move as part of the governor’s strategy to “strengthen governance, enhance inclusivity, and consolidate achievements in service delivery.”
“These appointees are expected to inject fresh energy into the administration and support Governor Mohammed’s vision of responsive governance,” Gidado stated.
He added that, the governor urged the aides to prioritize “dedication, loyalty, and a people-centered approach.”
Meanwhile, Governor Mohammed has also launched a recruitment portal targeting 10,000 youths to be employed across the state civil service.
Prospective applicants are called to apply via https://recruitment.bauchistate.gov.ng on April 28, 2025, to address youth unemployment through what his office calls a “digital transformation drive.”
The platform aims to streamline job applications for over 10,000 vacancies, offering residents a “transparent and user-friendly” process to access public and private sector opportunities.
Lawal Muazu Bauchi, the Governor’s New Media Aide, described the portal as a testament to the administration’s focus on “economic empowerment, innovation, and inclusiveness.”
He urged citizens to apply and share the initiative widely, stating it aligns with the governor’s pledge to deliver “democratic dividends” through sustainable development.
