The Governor of Kano State, North West Nigeria, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has sworn in seven new Commissioners and 12 Advisers.
The new Commissioners and their portfolios are as follows:
Shehu Wada Sagagi as Commissioner for Investment, Commerce and Industries
Dr Ismail Aliyu Danmaraya, Commissioner for Finance.
Dr Shehu Sani Commissioner for Power, Sustainable Energy.
Dr Dahiru Hashimu Ministry for Environment
Abdulkadir Abdulsalam Commissioner for Rural development
Abdullahi Waiya, Commissioner for Information.
Wada Ma’aji, Commissioner for Public Procurement.
The Governor charged the new commissioners to be dedicated and committed to their duties, emphasizing that their appointments were carefully made to ensure the selection of capable hands that would contribute to achieving good governance.
He reiterated his administration’s commitment to addressing numerous challenges, including uplifting infrastructure, education, and health, as well as enhancing women and youth empowerment, water supply, and boosting Agriculture.
The Governor commended the Kano State House of Assembly for their cooperation and dedication to the development of the state.
He urged the appointees to live up to the expectations of the people by being committed and dedicated to achieving the set objectives.
Governor Yusuf reassured the public of his administration’s commitment to fulfilling all campaign promises and called on the new appointees to collaborate with their colleagues for optimum performance.
