Imam of Quba Mosque in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Muhammad Abid Al-Sindi, is dead.
Report by the Hausa service of BBC London, monitored in Kano, quoted the official Twitter page of the Haramain Sharifain on Tuesday that the late Imam’s funeral had since taken place and was buried at Al-Baqi Cemetery in Madinah.
The late Sheikh Muhammad Abid Al-Sindi, was leading the Tarawih prayers at the Prophet’s Mosque before moving to Quba Mosque.
The history of Masjid Quba, located in Madinah, makes it one of the most popular Mosques among Muslims.
It is an important site for tourists and also for Hajj and Umrah Pilgrims.
The Mosque was built in the outskirt of Madinah, around 6 kilometers far from the village of Quba.

It dates back to the 7th Century and is believed to be one of the oldest mosques in the history of Islam – the first stones reportedly laid by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) when he came back from Makkah.
