Reports indicate that there were instances of immoral behavior occurring within the hostels. This does not aligns with MAAUN’s strict policy against any form of immorality among its students.
Poor living condition is another reason.
The hostels reportedly suffered from inadequate water and electricity supply, which are essential for maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment for students.
There are also concerns about violence which were reported among students, raising further concerns about their safety.
The management noted also that there were unauthorized movements by students late at night, which could pose risks to their well-being.
Equally, the institution highlighted the sharing of facilities with unknown tenants as another issue that could lead to security threats.
These factors collectively led the University to conclude that the conditions at Al-Ansar Indabo hostels posed a threat to student welfare and safety.
Immediate actions
Following this announcement, all affected students have been directed to vacate the premises immediately after completing their semester examinations.
The University has emphasized that it will not be responsible for any consequences arising from non-compliance with this directive.
Furthermore, MAAUN said it is collaborating with relevant security agencies to ensure compliance with this closure order.
Meanwhile, students and parents have been advised to seek accommodation only through officially approved options listed by the Office of the Vice President Campus Life.
This measure aims to ensure that students have access to safe and secured housing alternatives.
