Int’l Women’s Day: Nigerian Women Should Keep Shining – VP NAWOJ Zone “A”

Vice President, Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, Zone “A”, Hajiya Halima Musa, has urged Nigerian women to remain steadfast and keep shining and avoid negativity that retards progress.

She gave the charge on Wednesday in Kano through a press release, accessed by Nigerian Kicker, to mark the 2023 International Women’s Day celebration.

“I wish to appreciate women the world over and that of Nigeria in particular on the occasion of today’s International Women’s Day celebration.

“I celebrate Nigerian women who have excelled in various field of endeavor in the country and in diaspora who have made Nigeria and the people proud,” she said.

Hajiya Halima said she was particularly thrilled by “the beautiful and strong Ladies of the Pen Profession” (her constituency) for their resilience, courage and doggedness in standing out and be counted for adding value to the growth of Journalism in Nigeria “despite multiple challenges.”

“To them I say they are winners, dependable, exceptional and truly appreciated.

“I call on them to keep glowing and never dimming nor succumbing to negativity which is the arch enemy of progress,” she advised.

The VP NAWOJ Zone “A” also congratulated the Nigerian lady, Iyabo Masha, who has just be appointed as the first African Director of G-24 praying God to help her perform for the betterment of Africa and Nigeria in particular.

“Keep soaring high to greater heights Nigerian women.

“I celebrate you. Congratulations!” she added.
