Israel Approves Plans Of Troop Withdrawal From Gaza – Report

Reports from Jerusalem say, Israel has approved plans for the withdrawal of its troops from the Gaza Strip following significant progress in prisoner exchange negotiations with Hamas, according to media reports on Saturday.

The Haaretz newspaper reported that the Israeli military has outlined several withdrawal scenarios, including the use of the Netzarim Corridor, a critical passage dividing Gaza into two sections.

Despite the establishment of extensive military infrastructure in the area, the Israeli military emphasized its readiness to swiftly implement any agreement reached with the Palestinian resistance group.

A delegation led by Mossad Chief, David Barnea and Ronen Bar, Chief of the Shin Bet internal security service, is scheduled to travel to Qatar to continue negotiations, according to a statement from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office.

Netanyahu, recently held discussions with Steve Witkoff, the US President-elect Donald Trump’s designated special envoy for the Middle East, ahead of the announcement.
