Jigawa state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ has constituted a seven member committee to revalidate its membership registration in line with the directive to that effect by the National Secretariat of the Union
A statement signed by the Acting State Secretary of the Union Aminu Umar Shuwajo explained that already the National Secretariat has dedicated a website for the membership revalidation registration, directing all state councils to engage on the excercise immediately across their various chapels
The statement added that the exercise was not meant to witchunt any individual, rather to assist the National body of the Union to update its membership record in every state and the Federal Capital Territory
The committee has Auwal Muhammed Kazaure from NTA Dutse as Chairman with Muhammad Umar Hadejia from the State Ministry of Information chapel to serve as Secretary
Others members include, Sani Muhammed Gumel Radio Jigawa , Garba Yakubu from Freedom Radio Dutse, Bushira Muhammed Yakasai from Horizobn FM Dutse, Umar Majeri from Correspondents chapel and Alhassan Aliyu from Jigawa Television JTV
Meanwhile the State Chairman of the Union Comrade Ismail Ibrahim Dutse has urged all Chapels Chairmen to cooperate for hitch free and speedy conduct of the exercise.
