Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ), Jigawa State Council, North West Nigeria, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of “our esteemed colleague and former Chairman of the Council, Comrade Fahad Mallam Madori.”
A statement by the Secretary, NUJ Jigawa State Council, Comrade Aisha Ahmed says, Fahad died on the night of Sunday, July 6, 2025.
According to the Statement, until his death, Comrade Fahad served diligently as the Information Officer of Kaugama and Birniwa Local Government Areas under the Jigawa State Ministry of Information, Youth, Sport and Culture.
“His commitment to the development of Journalism and his exemplary service to the state remain indelible in our hearts.
“Comrade Fahad was not just a Journalist but a passionate unionist who stood for the values of truth, professionalism, and unity among media practitioners.
“His tenure as Chairman of the NUJ Jigawa State Council was marked by integrity, selflessness, and dedication to the welfare of journalists.
“The NUJ Jigawa State Council extends its heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues, and the entire media fraternity in Jigawa State.
“We share in this great loss and pray that Almighty Allah, in His infinite mercy, grants him eternal rest and forgives his shortcomings.
“May Jannatul Firdaus be his final abode, the statement added.
