In efforts to promote respect , understanding and mutual relationship with media outfits in Jigawa state, the Leadership of the state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, has paid fraternal visit to Heads of Broadcast media Houses in the state.
Our Correspondent reports that the visit is also aimed at strenthening parnership and promoting the welfare of Journalists.
At the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA Dutse, the state chairman of the Union Comrade Ismaila Ibrahim Dutse, who led the Executive members, commended the station for the quality of its News coverage and professional programmes presentation that promote peace and development in Jigawa state.
He added that, the NUJ as the voice of the people, will leave no stone unturned to ensure that the voice of Jigawa people is clearly heard to reflect their wishes and aspirations.
Responding, the General Manager Malam Ibrahim Muhammad, praised the NUJ Leadership for its committment to revitalise and restore the glory of Jounalism in the state and by extension the nation at large promising the station’s full cooperation to the union at all times
At Freedom Radio Dutse, the station Manager, Alhaji Ali Aminu Falaki, noted with appreciation the tremendous achievements of the leadership in promoting ethical jounalism within the short period of coming on board.
The visit also took the NUJ Executives to Jigawa Radio Corporation where they discussed issues of mutual understanding with the Managing Director Alhaji Yusuf Adamu Babura who assured them that the station will always be at the doorstep of NUJ to promote its interest and the people of Jigawa state.
At Jigawa state Television JTV, the members were warmly received by the Managing Director Alhaji Abba Tukur who described the visit as timely that laid a solid foundation of friendship between the the NUJ and the station
Meanwhile the NUJ Chairman Comrade Ismaila Ibrahim Dutse has assured the people that the Executive leadership will pay similar visit to Horizon FM Dutse Sawaba FM Hadejia and Fa’ida FM Malammadori at a later date.
