Jigawa State Inaugurates Election Malpractices Tribunal

From Jigawa State, North West Nigeria comes a report that Election Malpractices Tribunal with 13 Judges has been inaugurated.

Jigawa state Independent Electoral Commission reportedly presided over the inauguration of the Tribunal regarding the far approaching October 5, 2024 LG election.

In a statement, obtained by Nigerian Kicker,  the Commission’s Public Relation Officer(PRO), Mallam Habibu Yusuf YarimaYarima says, the state Chief Justice administered the swearing-in of  the 13 judges under the leadership of Justice Musa Ubale.

“The Judges are to receive complaints from those who may feel they are cheated or robbed of victory or any other negativities that may emerge during the election across the state,” the statement said.

The inauguration was attended by the state Attorney General & Commissioner of Justice, the chairman of the Commission, Alhaji Auwalu Muhammad Harbo and the entire Commissioners of the Commission.
