Governor Abba Kabiru Yusuf of Kano State, North West Nigeria, has officially rejoined the All Progressives Congress, APC, after quitting the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP.
Recall that the Governor resigned from NNPP three days ago, citing protracted internal crises and legal disputes, which he said have weakened the party’s cohesion nationwide.
Nigerian Kicker had reported that the Governor resigned from NNPP on Friday.
Earlier, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Jibril Ismail Falgore, his Deputy, Muhammad Butu- Butu, the Majority Leader, Lawan Hussain, and 19 other lawmakers officially defected from the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
