Kano State Online Media Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists has appealed to the state Government to consider the rehabilitation of Community and Rural roads ahead of the rainy season.
This was contained in a four-point Communique issued at the end of the Chapel’s maiden Congress held on Saturday, 24th May, 2025 at the Press Centre of NUJ, Kano.
The Communique, jointly signed by the Chapel Chairman, Comrade Abubakar A. Dangambo and the Secretary, Isiyaku Ahmed, also appealed to the state Government to support farmers with inputs ahead of the rainy season for a bumper harvest.
The Congress also discussed Issues affecting the Chapel, including registration of new members and the running of the Secretariat.
It urged members to hold on to ethical considerations in their reportage and ensure to disseminate stories of public interest.
The Chairman of the Chapel, Comrade Abubakar A. Dangambo, particularly appreciated the members for their efforts toward the formation of the Chapel and advised new members to access the NUJ Constitution to know their obligations, rights, and privileges.
