Kano Pillars Defeats Elkanemi Warriors  Two Goals To One

Kano Pillars football club has, on Wednesday evening, defeated the Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri by two goals to one.

Kano Pillars scored its first goal in the 62nd minute through a penalty kick by Rabi’u Ali while the Elkanemi team equalized three minutes later also through a penalty kick.

Pillars winning goal was scored by Rashid Alasan in the 90th minute.

The win by Kano Pillars is a revenge having lost their first encounter in Maduguri by a lone goal.

It is also a dream come true for Coach Ahmed Garba Yaro Yaro who had earlier expressed optimism in securing a win.

Our Correspondent who monitored the match reports that both teams played a nice game to the admiration of the spectators.

With this victory, Kano Pillars now has 32 points and will move to the 9th position on the NPFL table.

As usual the Sani Abacha stadium was filled to capacity.
